I’m trying to mount windows (win10) directory as volume in Docker.

I’ve created composer file in c:php directory

... db ...

wordpress:
 links:
  - db:db
 image: wordpress:latest
 volumes:
  - ./app:/var/www/html
 ports:
  - "8000:80"
 restart: always

Next I’ve created app directory in c:php directory.
After run docker-composer up it shows wordpress, but my c:phpapp directory is empty.

Next I’ve removed container from Kitematic, and created new container with code:

wordpress:
 links:
  - db:db
 image: wordpress:latest
 volumes:
  - ./app:/var/www/app
 ports:
  - "8000:80"
 restart: always

Directory: c:phpapp is still empty. When I list directory /var/www/app in container, it shows worpdress files.

I’ve got two questions:

1) Is it possible to edit in windows php filest from wordpres container?

2) Where Docker saves their files? Why I can list wordpress files in second container?
