i am creating an coupon site from scratch and for this have saw many codes and examples on the internet. but it doesn’t work as my requirement is little different.

i need help in creating an expiry function that would delete the Coupon (post_type) automatically.

As an coupon site all coupons are imported in bulk, so the expiry date format ( eg: 01/12/2014 , 01-12-2014 or 1 dec 2014 ) also differs from coupon to coupon , in a particular import (session).this create a problem when the date format differ and its never same.

custom field is “expiry_date” it will store the date.

do any one has a best type of solution for this problem.

thanks in advance.
