I added a column to wp_posts as I need a uuid field on the post table. I had trouble changing the guid value within wordpress and had to use SQL to use it as uuid. This is running with wordpress user front end plugin. UUID is entered as post meta.

I have the following function that is not working. Any ideas how I can get this to work?

function wpufe_update_uuid( $post_id ) {
$uuid = get_post_meta( $post_id, '_uuid', true );
wp_update_post( $post_id, 'uuid', $uuid );
}
add_action( 'wpuf_add_post_after_insert', 'wpufe_update_uuid' );
add_action( 'wpuf_edit_post_after_update', 'wpufe_update_uuid' );
