I have already rule out the z-index.

I have a horizontal menu at the top of my wordpress site and vertical sub menus coming down. When the mouse comes down the sub menu’s they disappear.

The z-index of the elements in both the menu and the sub menu is 9,999,999, the highest z-index of anything underneath is 20. It is definitely not the z-index.

When I change the padding on the main menu at the top, I can see that the sub menu’s only appear when the mouse is over the main menu or it’s padding.

So in the style sheet how do I make sure that the hoover refers to the hoovering over the sub menu as well as the main menu?
