Is it a good practice to unenqueue jquery and bundle it with my theme instead?

I’m looking for ways to speed up my WordPress-site. Looking at the sources pulled in, I see jQuery get’s loaded in it’s own script tag. I do use jQuery in my theme, and now I’m wondering if I can unenqueue it on the front end and bundle it with my theme or if that would be a problem/bad practice somehow?

Could this be a problem with plugins or anything else?
