I’m trying to add my own emoticons into the tinyMCE advanced editor without the need of a plugin. Therefor I downloaded the folowing folder /wp-content/plugins/tinymce-advanced/mce/emoticons, and edited the .js files to work with my own emoticons.
The emoticons are showing in the dropdown menu of the toolbar as suppossed to. However in the post content it shows the text instead of the emoticon for the emoticons I’ve added. For the default emoticons the post content shows different emoticons than the dropdown menu shows.
How can I force the use of the toolbar emoticons so that my added emoticons show, and the default emoticons remain the same?
Best regards, AA-T
