I am looking for a plug-in or solution to what I thought was a common issue…

I am allowing global edit access to my entire site for users assigned to a specific user role. However, certain pages like “homepage” and “checkout” I would like to be viewable by everyone (default behavior) – but only editable by an administrator. This will prevent certain high-level pages from being changed by anyone but the admin, while the majority of the pages can be edited by a role I’ve specified. Essentially, I’d like an “only an admin can edit this page” checkbox on pages that when checked will prevent all user roles but the admin from editing its content.

Any ideas? Thanks.
