Below is an example of the function I was using to add important sub menu links for my customers in the WordPress admin dashboard panel. It works and looks perfect except I can’t figure out how to write the function so that the links open in a new tab. Everything I try breaks the page. Below is an example of the function.

/**
* add external link to Dashboard Submenu
*/

function example_admin_menu() {
global $submenu;
$url1 = 'https://www.weeboweb.com/client-area/?ccce=knowledgebase';
$url2 = 'https://www.weeboweb.com/client-area/?ccce=submitticket';
$submenu['index.php'][] = array('Knowledegbase', 'manage_options', $url1);
$submenu['index.php'][] = array('Support', 'manage_options', $url2);
}
