I was wondering if anyone knows if there was a way to create a function that produces a shortcode that can be placed on a page to resend their activation email?

I tried to do this myself and altho it would take me to the right page
It wouldn’t resend the email.by default the activation email has been sent notice should appear right after being redirected but not in this case.
I added the code below to my register.php file because the first activation email is triggered there.
Further info: if I use on that code it breaks the page and returns a white template.

$resend_string = ‘

‘ . sprintf(__(‘If you have not received an email yet, click here to resend it.’, ‘buddypress’), esc_url($resend_url));,
